Why verification matters

For decades, supplier execution has been the most valuable, least visible asset in industrial procurement. Discoverer makes it readable — converting twelve years of proven delivery, granular certifications, and documented evidence into the kind of signal procurement decisions can finally rest on.

The six mechanisms

From declared capability to verifiable signal.

01

Past Projects

Structured execution proof linked to specific capabilities. A supplier with twelve years of buyer-rated delivery on the same application class isn't making a cold capability claim — they're presenting documented performance history. Buyers get evidence of execution; suppliers convert hard-won delivery into compounding pipeline.

02

Private Data

CCS values, dimensional tolerance Cpk, thermal shock test results — the technical parameters that determine actual fit — are declared in the supplier profile and shared with verified buyers upon Request Access. Suppliers control disclosure; buyers see whether the technical match is real before the RFQ cycle begins.

03

Buyer Ratings

Four-dimensional scores from actual buyers, attached to specific past programs: Quality, Delivery, Cost, Responsiveness. Capability inflation collapses when rated delivery performance is tied to specific program claims — and proven performance becomes a permanent, searchable asset suppliers can build a reputation on.

04

Strategic Alternate Outcomes

When a supplier declares a substitution — this new material can replace that established one — buyers who evaluate it rate the outcome: Successful in evaluated context, Successful with constraints, or Not successful. Over time, Strategic Alternate declarations evolve from self-assessed claims into verified substitution intelligence — a moat for suppliers whose innovation actually delivers, and a credible signal layer for buyers exploring alternatives.

05

Evidence Files

Test lab reports, first article inspection records, dimensional inspection reports, material certifications, equivalence studies — attached directly to specific capability claims, past projects, and strategic alternate declarations. Document density becomes a credibility signal. Suppliers with the documentation to back claims get to demonstrate that depth; buyers can read the difference between three linked documents and zero.

06

Certification Granularity

A certification scoped to a specific capability at a specific site is a process-level claim, not a company-level quality assertion. AS9100D at the company level says something. AS9100D assigned to a specific open-die forging capability at a specific plant says something categorically stronger — and gives precision-certified suppliers the recognition that company-wide standards lists historically obscure.

The foundation

Underneath all six: every buyer is verified.

Enterprise identity is confirmed through D&B Hoovers or internal verification. Employment link is verified. Every rating, every evaluation outcome, every past project confirmation comes from a real procurement professional at a real organization. The signals that suppliers earn — and that buyers rely on — are anchored in verified counterparties on both sides.
